My Sandisk cruzer blade 4gb is not working

Hello, when I plug my 4gb pendrive into my pc it showing as removable disc and when I try to open it it show u need to format disc.As it was an empty pendrive I tried to format it but in the format dialogue box the capacity is just 64 mb n then also I tried to format but it is showing windows was unable to complete the format. PLEASE HELP

This sounds like a counterfeit drive to me. Was it just bought from a street vendor?
