could be a number of things loose multipin connector to the motherboard,could be overheating,laptops get so hot inside you could fry an egg on some of the parts,never put a laptop on a bed or a cushion as it blocks the airflow get a cooler for it and sit it on there,have you got any drivers for it?if not type in the model number on the net and try to update the vga drivers and finally the worst scenario is the solder balls on the vga chip have got so hot they have melted and that is not worth doing as it is a pro job and will cost hundreds
