No internet connect from home PC

Hello,
We just got Verizon Fios installed. Our home pc was working great until last Sat. Now, we are not able to connect to the internet. I am able to get my lap top to connect to the modem but not my home pc. I entered my IP address and entered what i think my default gateway address is, and I am still having no luck. Verizon is telling me it is not their problem and I am no IT tech to know how to fix this. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
