I use Windows Vista and there's been a change in its behaviour that I would like to understand. The other day when I turned it on I got a screen I hadn't seen before (Dell MediaDirect Express cannot access your hard drive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft BitLocker) Which I never did and wouldn't know how to do. Anyway, I got it to start on second try but when I tried to access Photoshop, from the usual shortcut, it said the program was no longer there (it is). This happens every day, so if I create a new shortcut today, tomorrow it will say the program is no longer there. Oh, if I go to user accounts it says this version of Windows does not support Encrypting File System. What's haaaaapening??

Thanks for the answer. Is it usual that a virus only messes one program? Because the rest of the programs will start fine. Ánd I haven't upgraded because I can't afford to buy a new Windows, and this Vista is at least legal...

Hello,

Try this 1

Switch off your laptop and press the "MediaDirect" button. It will be near the

power button.

If you have no idea about the "MediaDirect" button, then click on the below

hyperlink "MediaDirect" button.

Dell Media Button

Look at the image in "Figure 1" to see that particular button.

Good Luck

Thank you Ambucias, I've never touched it and I'm gonna try it if that message comes up again (truthfully I don't know what it does).
