I am on a Gateway desktop that runs Windows 7. Tthere are three user accounts as my family shares this computer. My husbsnd is the administrator and my account is a work account with client files that I need for work.

Yesterday the computer worked fine, my husband played WOW on it last night which was the last program run. There have been no recent chsnges either.

Todsy , when we try to log in on any of the accounts the computer will flash the words "logging off" and then it will go back to the login screen. I have tried going to the safe mode, safe mode with command prompts and neither will allow me to log in. I have tried going to the BIOS but there was no option there that allowed me access either.

Since windows came preloaded we don't have a recovery disk and reinstalling windows is jot an option due to my work files.wr really need some help asap, please. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Trinittie,
Welcome to Kioskea Forum
Try this basic steps,
1) switch off the laptop
2) remove the battery
3) press power button for 30 sec
4) replace the battery
5) switch on the laptop

It is better to reply us whether the problem is resolved or not!

Yes, we tried that on all user accounts but nothing happened except for the computer went back to the log in screen. We also tried going into BIOS to fix it. We tried every option in BIOS but got the same result as with the F8 option.

Hello Trinittie,
Try to remove the hard disk from your pc and back up it as soon as possible for your data in another pc!
There is no other option to do!
