Screen goes black on startup

Hello,

I unplugged the battery and took it out of the laptop and hel the power button down for one minute then I out the battery back in and turned the power button on again......it ran a scan disk and then made the windows lot on sound and went black again. So this did not help my laptop? Anything else it might be?

Hi,

Does it work when the power cord is connected and the battery out?

I never tried that Jeff, although that was a good thought. :-). I did a system restore back to June 14th and that worked. :-). I'm up and running again. :-)
