Screen stays off when turn on laptop dell1521

Hello,
I have a dell 1521 amd 64x2 the next day I try to turn on my laptop the light came on but no screen, I notice the letter A next to the pwer button was flashing on and off and the cd drive was on but could not open the drive I could hear the drive on, I try pressing fn and power together and the three light show for a moment then the letter A stays on flashing for about 15 sec. then off no screen on. please help.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION REMOVE THE MEMORY MODULE AND USE A ERASER FROM A PEN OR ANY ERASER, USE IT ON THE METAL STRIP BOTH SIDES AND PUT IT BACK IT SHOULD WORK IT DID FOR A FRIEND IF THAT DON`T WORK REMOVE THE HARD DRIVE AND TRY TO TURN ON THE LAPTOP IF IT DOESN`T THEN IT COULD BE THE MOTHERBOARD REMOVE ALL THE PARTS (HARDDRIVE,MEMORY,USB,MOUSE)AND TRY TURNING ON.THEN PUT ONE BY ONE TO SEE WHICH IS NOT WORKING HOPE THAT HELP...

I found the answer thanks just remove the memory mdule
