4GB Transcend , "Please insert a disk into G&Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, everybody,,
please give me solution for my 4GB Transcend pendrive...


when I attach the pen drive to through USB port , so it detected my PC ,
but when I try to access it it show only 1 message

'Please insert a disk into drive G:'

,so give me Solution  pls>>

b4 it works normal and when I use it with PC that may be contain Virus ,,so it happen ?? may be

when you connect ur transcend 4gb pen drive if this message appears
please insert adisk into drive H:

first u note down s/n which appears on light yellow color 10 digit no
you install this online_recovery.asp software and proceed accordingly
ur peoblem will be solved within 2 mins

go to transcend web site then look for the online recovery tool, it really works! I have the same problem as yours... and my jetflash is now working properly.

just do this to make yur 4gb pendrive wrk perfect
Open Command Prompt -> Type the drive name say G: -> Type ATTRIB -H -R -S AUTORUN.INF -> Type EDIT AUTORUN.INF -> A new window appears; delete all the contents and click on File -> Save and click on File -> Exit

On command prompt -> Type ATTRIB +H +R +S AUTORUN.INF -> Type EXIT

Remove and reinsert the pen drive.

Now, The virus is completely removed.

This may be a bit late for this user, but others may find it usefull.
Try this - it worked for me on a different drive.
WARNING - You may lose all your data, but your drive should work.
go to this site and download the free software.

with your internet still conected, run the program. It will re-name your drive, but at least it will be recognised as a flash disk. It is worth a try.

i have a 4 transcend pen drive when I connect a pendrive its is showing removable disk when I tried to format a drive its shows pls insert a disk it that pendrive I have a lot of important data .

I had this with 2 brands of USB flash sticks.  Caused by trying to run Toshiba Recovery Media Creator on Windows 7that fails and "wrecks" a working USB stick with exactly the symptoms you describe.

I fixed it like this (Windows 7)
Log in as Administrator.

Insert the USB Stick

Go to Control Panel

Open Admininistrative Tools then Computer Management

Select Storage  and  Disk Management

Select the disk that is your USB - it will be shown as unallocated and have a black band on the top unlike the blue bands on your hard drive. Take care NOT to select your Hard drive

Right click on the panel of the disk that says unallocated

Select the top item New Simple Volume...

Take all defaults and allocate a new drive letter.
 

Finish and the drive will be working again.
