Repair SQL 2005 cluster

hi, need advice links on getting this back up and running

MS windows 2003 2 node cluster sql 2005 installed.

Incident occured

left with no cluster and a newly built node with out sql installed

Node 2 stil has all teh sql stuff on and all data drives are in tact

how do i recrete a cluster so sql on node 2 works then add in the new node and install sql on there.

I did see an article a couple of days ago but cant find it now, restablishing sql 005 cluster

I don't think you can.

I think your best course of action is to backup SQL DB's on Node 2 then shut it down (at least the SQL services) and do a DR restore on the newly created node. This means you will be recovering your system DB's as well as the other DB's you have on there http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/255789.aspx

Once you are sure that Node 1 is working correctly reinstall cluster and SQL on Node 2 to add it as a fresh node into the cluster.

I think if you try to force this you are going to cause more problems for yourself.
