Hi.

The solution is to use CopyTrans. This application allows you to transfer your music and video (including playlist and artworks) from your iPod to your PC (with automatic iTunes importation).

Have a try: https://www.copytrans.net/copytrans/

Excellent product Thankyou for your advice....

Thank you so much for the advice regarding CopyTrans, it was perfect for my needs.

https://www.copytrans.net/

I had to run a factory reset on my pc, not even considering the music I had stored on here, and I lost everything.

CopyTrans allows you to copy 100 tracks in trial mode, then if you have more, you can purchase the software.
It's not expensive, around £15 (or whatever the equivalent $20usd is at the moment) but it enabled me to gain the confidence in the product in the trial mode then I did go on and buy it to download the remainder of my music.
Brilliant, really helpful, thank you guys.

iTunes does not allow you to copy songs from your iPod to the PC. They do not want to make it easy to share music. But, There are a number of commercial programs that can copy your iPod. You might try this free program: https://getsharepod.com/

Good Luck

Although Apple’s iTunes is good at keeping a computer-based library synchronized to an iPod automatically, or for manually transferring tracks from your computer’s iTunes library onto an iPod, it provides extremely limited functionality for transferring information in the opposite direction-from your iPod to your computer. But the three party application—Aniosoft iBackup can make it,transferring iPod’s content to computer.

Here are the guides how it would be transferred:

Step 1, Install and run Aniosoft iBackup and plug your iPod to the computer

Step 2,make a music transfer from iPod to iTunes and at the same time you can make a content backup in any storage device as well.

And this case also applies that adding new songs without deleting all the old songs when you get a new PC and install a new iTunes on it.

Hello,
In order to protect copyright music, iTunes blocks you from transferring music from iPod back to iTunes.
So you need backup your iPod song to computer first. Then adds to your iTunes from computer.
Just get the software you need from here:

--One of the frequently ased question by iPod users may be "how do you transfer music from my ipod to my new computer"?

Assume that you old PC just crashed and all your music on your iTunes was also lost there. But your iPod still keeps the music. So you have to transfer your music from your iPod to your new PC? What should you do to make it? Well, the best solution here is Aniosoft iBackup.

Aniosoft iBackup enables you to transfer iPod's music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod's data including its playlists, rating and etc.

Try copying the ipod_control folder (which has all your songs on it) in your ipod onto the harddrive and then add the whole folder to Itunes through the File menu.

That works for me.

When I changed my computer for my iPod, this guide finally helped me copy all my iPod songs and videos onto my brand new iTunes http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/learningresources/thread/ef3d60a3-0c24-416f-8542-242f2ca366f7

dude thanks for the link it worked perfectly I love it!!!

how do you copy the folder?
0
this TOTALLY worked - thank you so much. you have to do it a few files at a time - select "file" in itunes then "add file to library". you'll have to do a few at a time from each of the F folders (F00, F01, etc.). select like 6 at a time to do, otherwise they don't seem to pull through. a little time consuming, but TOTALLY worth it! thank you!!!

Before trying any of these, right click on the iPhone device in iTunes and click "Transfer purcahses".

Worked a dream for me, now it's up-to-date I can sync it :)
