My lenovo laptop windows 8 won't start

So when I turn on my lenovo laptop the power light stays on for a few seconds then it goes of (the while laptop shuts down) and then when I try to turn it on again it does the same thing and I've only used my new laptop for 3 days and then it does that.
Please someone help me!!!!

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Hi Amy

Certainly looks like a power supply issue. Since it is a brand new laptop, under warranty, I suggest you rush to have it replaced. I also suggest you insist for a replacement not a repair as you may have a lemon.
