Macbook pro 15" to replace Asus ROG G751jt

Hello,

I currently own a 17" Asus rog g751jt, it's a great laptop and has never been a disappointment, it's a real beast! I use it for some gaming every once in a while, browsing, 3D modeling and video editing, plus I make music as well.. but anyway I'm now a college student and I'm going to need a more portable laptop.
I've been thinking about a Mac-book Pro 15" because it's pretty efficient and powerful at the same time. I will probably install Win 8 or 10 in it if I acquire it.
I heard that the new Macbook pro (2015/16) only has a single port for everything, I'd rather have at least 2-3 USB ports plus a DVD reader, which why I am willing to buy an old 15" Macbook pro, not above +3 years old.
I came here to ask if anybody could help me choose a 15" Macbook pro as powerful as my Asus or more.

Well, 1 year later I finally bought the 15" MBP 2015 2.8Ghz.

It's a beast as well.
