Outlook 2007 cannot connectClosed

Question

Hello, 

I m Satish,
     Tried to setting outlook, but cannot connect, all trial email messages are pending in out box. I tried all your above suggestions, but till not working. Following message came when i click test account setting :
"Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) email server. My outlook is 2007. Help me. 

Configuration: Windows 8 / Opera 9.80

Hello,

Do you use any antivirus or firewall? 
does it work if you start outlook in Safe mode? 
To open Outlook in Safe mode: Close Outlook then hold Ctrl as you click on the Outlook icon. You'll get a message asking if you want to start in Safe mode. Click Ok.

I had the same error (0x80042108). I just cancel all cookies and Temp internet file and Outlock works again
