Hello,
I have windows 10, and somehow google became my opening page. When I save folders or pictures to my desktop, a white page with a folded right corner appears on top of my icon, making it difficult for me to see the icon. What is causing this and how do I get it to stop?

Hi

You will not be able to stop it, that the way Windows 10 shows files saved to the desktop; anyway to many files on the desktop will slow down your system.

Google became your opening page for Internet because you made it that way and it has no relation to your desktop icons.

That folded corner page shows up on my desktop icons, but it doesn't show up on my laptop which also has windows 10. Do you know what makes the difference?

I don''t understand. I have a cake business. I download pictures to both computers (pics of cakes) from the web and emails. The only difference that I can see is that my searches on my desktop are through google and on my laptop are through yahoo. When I make up a new folder on each computer, my laptop doesn't have the folded folder and my desktop does.

If you open the folded folder, what do you get?

I get whatever I saved; the problem is that when I'm looking at my desktop, I can't see what's on the icon b/c of the folded page covering it. I have to open the file to see what it is. Before, I could just look at the desktop, find the pic or file I need just by looking at the icons.
