After windows up date my computer wont turn on

I was on my computer and it then went off and started to up date as it did sometimes. However it then went onto scanning files so i thought id just leave it to run. The next day i try to turn my computer on and it doesn't work there is no power at all no matter what i do nothing is happening. Please can someone help
