Laptop black screen

I turn my laptop on . It's all fine , I log on snd then my screen goes black but I can still see mouse . Please can someone help me with what to do thanks .

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

OK, see if booting up in safe mode helps. What O/S are you using. It is a mangle profile, so if you have another login with admin rights, log in using that one, move all of the user docs that you want to keep, and delete the user profile that is hanging!
