What exact version of Windows aRE YOU USING.

I have noticed a folder on the D: drive named as "Windows Image Backup". The problem is that, the folder has a size of 55 GB. What is this? Can it be safely deleted?.
Solution
If you want to delete this backup file, should you already disabled the automatic backup feature of Windows.
Click on Start button > Control Panel > System and Maintenance> Backup and Restore.
In the left pane, click on "Turn Off Schedule".
From there you can delete or move the file.
