Wifi turns on and off by its own

This problem in my pc has been since long. happens what is the wifi turns on and off by its own will. when it is off, the external switch nor the internal switch can help getting it on. the wifi can only be used when it is automatically on at start up. Please resolve my issue thankyou.

Hey Sam, what is your router? Have you tried to reset your router? If it doesn't work, your router's WIFI module might be broken, or the built-in software is outdated, try to update it, you can get more router information at [Removed] Another way is try to search your router+wifi turn on/off to see whether it's a common problem.

Have a look on your device settings. Normally, this kind of issues occur when the device is in on power saving mode. Switch off the power saving mode in settings.

No, there is nothing of that sort. This problem has been existing ever since I was using windows 7, 8 and now 10. The issue has been along all the time

IS this your router, or your ISP's? Does your laptop have a B/G or N adapter, and is your router broadcasting the same band?


If this is your ISP router, then you need to contact them for support, as you are paying for it! If it is your router, you need to make certain that all of the settings are correct.

The problem is not about getting connected to any specific router. The problem exists in general for every network. Its not about not getting the band. The problem is, I am unable to turn the wifi on.

It is a laptop, its Acer aspire 5745.
