Hi Jayan,
I would recommend you to open Disk Management and check if the drive has a correct drive letter. Change it to another one which is not in use or reserved. I strongly recommend you to check the device on another PC and with another USB cable. If the cable is recognized by the OS but the files are not accessible, try using some data recovery tools.
