Lenovo Thinkpad Keyboard malfunctioning

I have a Lenovo thinkpad t510. The following keys are not functiong properly.
(y,u,h,j,n,m,6,7). Rest are OK.

The above keys most of the times dont work at all. Sometimes pressing the above malfunctioning keys twice
gives strange beahavior such as CAPS lock gets on, Thinkvantage gets on,
or working window gets closed (ALT+x equivalent).

Anybody faced similar problem ? Please let me know if you have ideas. Is it only a keyboard
issue (requiring replacement).

I suggest you test using an external USB keyboard. If the external works OK then you need to replace the internal keyboard.

External Keyboard works OK. So I will purchase Lenovo thinkpad T510 compatible which is a bit expensive and replace the internal keyboard. Looks like problem is solved.
