Resetting forgotten administrator password

Hi , I followed the instructions above to reset my administrator password and went through each step successfully. Then I restarted my PC and when I tried to go online , the window came up again saying the site needed the administrative password. I typed in my new password and it said that it was the wrong password again. So I followed each step again 3x and this keeps happening. Is there any other way to fix this problem?
