Have you tried with another power cable? Holding the power button was a good decision. Sometimes it helps in similar situations. If your PC is under warranty, you should consult the seller and ask for guidance. If warranty has expired, you should contact a technician in order to verify the cause of the problem. You may be facing a power port or a motherboard issue. The good news is that these kinds of issues are often repairable.
