Hello Leelodallasmultipass,
My advice is, when you are able to boot your laptop, to make a full backup of everything valuable stored on the drive, because I suspect that it might be failing. Once you have done that, please check the drive with a specific manufacturer's tool designed to make testings of the health status of the disk, mostly known as a S.M.A.R.T. tests.
After that, you could diagnose the disk with the Windows Command prompt menu.
Open the console in Administrator mode and type the following command:
chkdsk /r
Press enter and wait some time for the drive to be repaired.
Report what happened afterwards, please. Good luck!
