Micro ad card stopped working

Hello, I would appreciate help from anyone on this. I have a 16gb micro sdcard in phone, for no apparent reason got message saying micro sd card unexpectedly removed. I took it out and re-inserted it in case it had come loose, but is not recognising it. Put it in reader in laptop and can't find it there either . I am a technology novice, so would appreciate your help thank you

Thanks for that, good to know. The store I bought it from has closed so can't get a refund, so I'll just cut my losses, won't waste time trying to fix, just get a new one., Thanks

Please, when you go out to purchase a new card, go to a reputable store which sells genuine cards from a trustworthy manufacturer, not a cheap imitation as there are many on the market; the same applies to pen drives or flash drives.

Yes thanks will keep that in mind. I bought it from Dick Smith which was a major retailer, but the whole chain crashed. Anyway, it's all a learning card and I learnt a bit about sd card, which I knew nothing about, thanks
