These are the steps you need to take for Windows 10

1. Open control panel
2. Select Clock, Language and Region
3. Select Language

4. You should see one or two languages in boxes. If it says 'US', tap the delete button to remove
5. Look at the UK English box and click on options.
6. Now select 'Add an input method'

7. This is the key part. You need to find English - UK EXTENDED since this supports the ASUS keyboard layout. Make sure it is highlighted and then click add.
8. It should be working now.

Wanted to post because Asus are stupid enough to make the keys and input different which also confused me at first. Just in case anyone is stuck, use this advice.
