Dell Inspiron 1545 no power of any kind at all

Hello,

I have Dell Inspiron 1545 which suddenly without any warning seem to have died. It is basically dead, showing no life either visual or audio, Pressing power button on the laptop makes no difference at all. The adapter and the batteries are sound (I checked them separately). The power of 19 V is definitely coming onto the input socket of the machine but the machine is not showing any signs of life. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause of it and if you do please help.

Hi MichaelMi5,

I would recommend you to disconnect power cable and battery and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Reconnect the cable and try again. If there is no change, there may be a power port problem or a motherboard issue. In that case you should seek assistance from a technician. If the PC is under warranty, contact the seller.
