Hello Bsridhar,
Have you tested the USB flash to another port of your PC or in the USB ports of another computer? If you haven't, please try it and come to provide me with more information regarding the problem that you have. When did it start? Has anything happened prior to the error that you get?
Also, you could try formatting the pen drive with a data recovery software that exists on the net.
