Supposing your data are at A1:A10
Select A1:A10
Click DATA Menu
TEXT to Column --> NEXT --> NEXT
Choose DATE (DMY)
OK
Now your data are a REAL DATE
Use DATE Format Menu to your desired format.(DD-MMMM-YY)

OK
Now your data are a REAL DATE
