Windows XP service pack 3 have missing or corrupt system 32

When I turn on my computer the screen says windows system 32 is missing or corrupt put in original boot disc and type r I cant find original cd I have windows xp sp3 I don't want to loose my pics and files how do I get them off without cd can I buy one or can I use an external hard drive

Hello Helen,

This is a sticky wicket ! To repair XP sp3 you really must use a cd. Windows no longer supports XP hence you can't download any repair utility.

Perhaps that a technician can recover some of your files.
