If you got it just six days ago it's under warranty, you can take it back to where you purchased it for exchange or repair free.

You can follow steps below to test your touchpad.
Press the Windows Key and type change mouse settings in the Search field, and hit Enter.
Then you find your touchpad settings. They are usually under the far right tab next to Hardware (the name of the tab varies from manufacturer to manufacturer).
Make sure there is a check in the box next to Enable touchpad.
Adjust any other settings to your liking, then click Apply, then OK.
