Oh boy! This is a sticky wicket!
You recovery image may have been corrupted or damaged. This may not work, it's just an educated guess.
Turn off your laptop by pressing and holding the power button, the lappy should restart and do as if you were doing a new factory reset.
I assume you know how the Toshiba factory reset is launch.

From the number of issues on this forum I saw involving Toshiba. I decided to avoided it like the plague.
