Monitor screen goes black

Hi
recently I bought a new graphic card after installing its drivers my computer restarts and after showing windows logo my monitor goes black.
pls help me in solving the problem

Your monitor may not be able to display the resolutions. Take out the video card, and set the resolution on the native display port to the lowest setting. Now turn off the machine, and install the card again. You should be able to adjust it until it works!

I have done what you said. My monitor screen starts working but its resolution has been set to lowest resolution by default and now I am not able to change it. pls . help me

OK, so now that it is on its lowest, and it it displays, continue to adjust up until it no longer displays correctly. If you do not confirm changes within a time limit, the resolution will revert back, and you can leave it at its lat good setting! That is it! Good JOB!

my monitor displays only one resolution i.e. 600x800 other option are not available.

OK, so that is with the native onboard video, right? Now, install the video card, and check if it is displaying.
