Messages aren't loading in my Gmail

I have not been recieving any new emails in my gmail since May 21st. For a while I was recieving notifications only in my notification bar but once I tap on the message it goes to my gmail, however does not load current messages but returns back to my last old message dated back to May 21st. Now I'm not even recieving notifications-does anyone have any suggestions...please help

same problem happened with me also. i was not getting mails from april 27th to till date. den i cleared some memory from google drive, deleted some old mails and made some changes in synchronise settings. now i am getting new mails. but all my mails from 27th april to june 23rd are missing. dieng hard to get those emails
