my pc displayed the message 'CMOS battery failure detected, press Enter to continue' for a few days, but it still worked. then yesterday suddenly it had no display on startup and beeped 3 times. i did a power supply reset and it turned on. but today it happened again and the reset doesn't work. what am i to do now?
thanks in advance.

Hi, have you change your CMOS battery? If not, I would suggest you to change it. Remove the old CMOS battery for about 30 seconds, place the new CMOS battery. Do not plug your computer yet, press the power button to release the stored voltage from your computer's Motherboard.

Now turn on your computer. If it is still beeps, remove your RAM, clean the gold plated bottom of your RAM with a rubber eraser. Then, fix it again into your memory slot.

You should be able to boot you Computer now. Hope that helps.

Wow, what a great idea, considering you have repeated my fix.
