Hello,

So I have had my laptop since February 2014 and it's fine, except that a few weeks ago the headphone jack just suddenly stopped working. When I go into "playback devices", it doesn't even recognize that there are headphones plugged in. Once, I got it to play through the headphones, but it also played through the speakers. However, it only happened once, briefly, since then it's only speakers.

When I go into device manager, there doesn't appear to be an audio card listed at all and there is no tab called "Unknown Devices" anywhere. I have tried uninstalling the device, restarting, etc. but nothing works. I have tried disabling the speakers, doesn't work. I have tried everything that I can Google, but nothing works.

Am I SOL? I'm at a complete loss.

Thanks in advance.

try another pair of headphones. Are you urilizing an audio jack, or pairing with bluetooth, or usb?

I have tried multiple pairs of headphones, same thing happens every time.

I am just using an audio jack, as far as I know. I don't know how to pair it with bluetooth or USB.
