Computer Windows is not booting

Hey i would like to get some help on this issue , i was using my computer normally but then i had to do restart for updates . When i did that it was restarted and i got a black screen with a small dash(-) on the left top popping off and on , and i have a red light on the battery dot where it it used to show green while charging , i removed the battery and tried everything to get rid of the light , but nothing . I dont know if the problem is the battery or the windows , but either the battery is in or not its not booting .. any help plz ...

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Not working .. still getting the black screen with the dash on the left corner ..

64-bit , any idead ? I really dnt know that kuch in computers tho

Have you tried to boot in safe mode ?

The operating is which of the Windows 7, 8, 10?
