Have internet connection but can't browse

Hello,
I've been experiencing the same issue that everyone else seems to be reporting. However it sounds like going to windows defender was the fix? I have windows 10 and windows defender system and I can't use anything. Right now the only thing that works is I get mail thru gmail and that's it. Google comes up and looks like it will work but really it doesn't once you try to search. I'm at a lose and need some advice other than chucking this laptop out the window.

Should you ever chuck out the laptop out the window, please, send us a picture or two, it would be worth taking a look at the action.:-)

You say that you are experiencing the same as everyone else is reporting. What is it that was reported ?

What is the browser you are using? Do you get an error message? What is it?

I took the laptop to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they said that the latest update that was done removed my drivers. They reinstalled them and now it is working.
