Sony reveals new Windows 8 touch-enabled Ultrabook series from $770.
After being exhibited at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2013) lat month, Sony's Vaio T Series Touch Ultrabooks are now ready for purchase. The Led-lit display with HD 4000 graphics provides the user with an attractive interface, and the touch-enabled device comes as a 13-inch, 14-inch, or 15-inch model. Other features include a webcam, HDMI and USB ports, as well as SD readers. Weighing just over 5 pounds, the new Ultrabook is already available online on Sony, J&R Electronics, and the Best Buy websites.
Priced very competitively, the 15-inch version (the SVT151190X) starts at $769.99. This model comes with a 500GB hard drive and 4GB or RAM, with an Intel Core i3-3227U processor. Customization options (for an increase in price) allow the customer to swap out the hard drive for a solid state drive, replace the DVD player/burner with a Blu-ray player, boost the processor, or upgrade to 8GB of RAM. Provided that this Ultrabook fares well, this could be even better news for Windows 8, which has been increasing in popularity over the past several months.
