(CCM) — Lumigon has launched the T3; the world's first smartphone to include a night vision camera. The 4-megapixel front camera, which includes infrared flash, uses IR LED to locate photo subjects even when the setting is pitch black. The 13-megapixel rear camera uses PDAF and dual-tone flash. The T3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC processor. The smartphone, which comes with 3 GB RAM, sports a 4.8-inch Super Amoled HD (720x1280 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The T3 features noise-cancelation technology, high-quality audio playback (24-bit/192KHz), and a "marine-grade 316 stainless steel" body that is supposedly water and dust resistant. The smartphone also includes a fingerprint sensor and supports 4G connectivity.
The smartphone is currently for sale in black on Lumigon's official site for $740. The company is also currently offering a 24-karat gold version in the U.S. for 1,200 USD. The T3 is expected to be available in both white and orange, but Lumigon has not yet disclosed when that will be.
