Snapchat will roll out a new feature that will help you keep up with your precious moments.
(CCM) — On Wednesday, Snapchat announced in a blog post the forthcoming addition of its "Memories" feature. The new component will allow users to save their Snaps within the app and repost them at a later date. Later, they will be able to either scroll or search keywords to find old photos and videos that they'd shared with their friends on Snapchat, and they will even be able to create a collage of old and new content. Old content that is re-shared will be distinguished from fresh content with an added frame around the photo or video.
Snapchat has also included a new feature in the surprise update called "My Eyes Only," which allows users to specify whether they want the content that they share to be public or private. "My Eyes Only" will be available for both Snaps and Stories to "avoid awkward moments when a friend stumbles upon a Snap meant just for you," the company explained. Both "Memories" and "My Eyes Only" will be rolled out to user devices "selectively over the next month or so," so users should be on the lookout for a Chat from Team Snapchat alerting them of the arrival of these new capabilities fairly soon.
