From today Instagram users can share up to ten photos and videos in a single post.
(CCM) — Instagram is offering its users a major creativity boost with a change made today that enables anyone to share multiple photos and videos in single post. Previously users had to choose a single photo or video from an experience to post, but now it is possible to create something more akin to a photo album by uploading up to ten photos or videos in a single post that other people can swipe through to view.
A new icon now allows Instagram users to select multiple photos or videos to post, and these can be tapped and held to change the order, apply a filter to everything at once, or edit each photo one at a time. For now these posts have can only have a single caption and the image shape is restricted to square, but the company hints that this may change in the future. On a user's profile grid the first photo or video of a multiple-image post will display a little icon to denote that there are further images to swipe through, and in the main feed blue dots at the bottom of these posts denote the same thing. Multiple-image posts can be comments on just like a regular post. The new feature is available today as part of Instagram 10.9 for iOS and Android.
