A leaked photo of what appears to be Samsung's new Galaxy S8 phone may show a dedicated 'Bixby' button.
(CCM) — Samsung is stealing the limelight at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 thanks to an apparent leak about its Galaxy S8 smartphone, which is due to launch next month. A new photo that has been circulated on Twitter appears to show a publicity shot of the new phone, and its contents are consistent with other leaks and rumors from trusted sources, according to a Forbes report. The photo also matches video images and press invites released by Samsung in advance of the launch event.
The photo shows a smartphone with a very narrow vertical bezel, with a slightly wider one at the top and bottom of the device. There are no physical features such as a "home" button at the base of the screen. The only physical controls in evidence are two on the left side of the device and one on the right. The largest is likely to be a volume rocker button, and one of the others is a power button. It is not clear what the final button's function might be, but a possible answer is a camera shutter release. Forbes also suggests that — given Samsung's intention to introduce its own Bixby intelligent assistant to rival Siri, Cortana, and Google Assistant — the third button may provide instant access to Bixby.
