Apple is most likely to launch the new iPhone SE in late August this year, in a separate launch event.
(CCM) — Apple's iPhone SE was a welcome addition to the iPhone lineup. It is smaller than its bigger siblings, but regarding customer satisfaction, it comes on top of the list. Keeping the popularity in mind, Apple is now planning to launch a successor to the phone that will most likely come in the same size but with upgraded features.
Previous reports dismissed the possibility of an iPhone SE 2017 version. A Chinese analyst, Pan Jiutang, also predicted that a refreshed version is not on the cards. However, a recent report from a French website iGeneration claims that Apple is indeed working on an iPhone SE successor and that we shall see it soon. The report also says that Apple will be holding two separate launch events this year, in August and October. The first event would unleash the new iPhone SE, while the much-awaited iPhone 8 shall be launched during the second event. Surprisingly, this time around there is no mention of the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.
For the iPhone SE, the report also predicts the possible pricing in Europe, at €399, which roughly converts to $400 US Dollars. To recall, the first iPhone SE was priced at €489. It remains to be seen if Apple comes up with the new iPhone SE after all. If it does then, it would be a treat for the users who loved the first iPhone SE.
