Roku has rolled out a lineup of five new streaming devices for every type of viewer.
CCM — Digital media company Roku announced on Monday a new line of streaming devices, each designed for a different type of viewer. According to the company, the new media players offer better performance, improved wireless reception, new convenience features, and greater value than previous Roku devices. Models include the Roku Express and the Roku Express+, ideal for first-time streamers; the Roku Streaming Stick and the Roku Streaming Stick+, useful for on-the-go users; and the Roku Ultra, designed for users concerned with high-quality wireless performance.
"Our new streaming player line up provides performance, price, and features to meet our users needs so they can sit back, relax, and enjoy their TV viewing experience even more," said Chas Smith, general manager of Roku TVs and players." Prices range from $29.99 to $99.99. Pre-order of the streaming devices opened up on Monday, with models expected to hit stores by October 8, 2017. Roku's announcement of its new range also covered the rollout of its newest operating system, Roku OS 8.
