YaBasic or Yet Another Basic created by Marc-Oliver Ihm is an interpreter of a basic traditional programming language. It has the most common and simple functionalities mixed with advanced tools.

Key features

Language: The program has two types of languages which are numeric variables and string variables. The last one is used for representing images and always ended with "$", but the first one never ended with this feature.

Loops/if/switch: YaBasic has several instructions for skipping in the language. Loop is used to execute statement until it becomes true. If is used to evaluate the condition and switch is used to test the result of an expression.

Peek/ poke: These options give the possibility to get the internal information about the operating system or the software itself. Peek is used to return a number and poke is used when the user wants to change values retrieved by peek.

Graphic/Printing: YaBasic enables the user to draw and paint graphics like rectangle or curve. Different colors are available if he wants to specify. He is also allowed to print these graphics.

The download is free of charge.

YaBasic has a complete tutorial on its website.
