No$GBA is a convenient, powerful, and high-compatible Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, and GameBoy Advance emulator for Windows PC. Thanks to No$GBA, you will be able to play all the good old original video games you loved on these portable consoles, in just a few seconds, directly on your laptop. Moreover, you can tweak many settings to optimize your experience, enjoy multiplayer, and lots more.

What are the key features of No$GBA?

  • High compatibility: No$GBA is just super-compatible as it supports lots of different Nintendo consoles, including DS ROM files, GBA ROM files, and even Homebrew packages. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the most notable supported games: the excellent Pokemon Unbound, Pokemon FireRed, Pokemon Emerald, Super Mario Advance and Super Mario Advance 2, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Cooking Mama, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Final Fantasy VI, Mario Kart DS, or Diddy Kong Racing DS.
  • Multiplayer mode: No$GBA allows you to enable the multiplayer mode of games so that you can seamlessly play with your friends (this feature is not compatible yet with Nintendo DS games).
  • Run multiple consoles: No$GBA is so powerful that it can emulate various machines simultaneously.
  • Custom configuration: You can quickly adapt many emulation-related parameters, including graphics, controls, and audio. You can tune many parameters to optimize your experience the way you want.
  • Lightweight and powerful: No$GBA has been designed to provide a very-well optimized experience that requires only a few resources and storage.
  • Simple and intuitive interface: No$GBA provides a very lightweight and easy-to-use interface so that you can learn how to use the emulator in only a few minutes.

How does No$GBA work?

Remember that the emulator is provided as-is and does not contain any game, so make sure you download at least one game like Pokemon FireRed or Pokemon Emerald. Once the emulator and the game's ROM file are downloaded, you can quickly load it in the emulator by clicking on File > Cartridge menu (FileName) and then selecting the ROM file you want (usually in the .gba or .nds format, depending on the console the game is intended for). You can also tweak many of the emulator's settings (Options > Emulation Setup), including the controls (Options > Controls Setup).

Is it free?

According to the developer, No$GBA refers to the expression 'No Cash GBA', meaning the emulator is designed to be used for free.

Is it safe?

No$GBA is a safe program. However, it would be best to keep in mind that the distribution of ROM files for Nintendo game consoles is contrary to their terms and conditions policy. It means you need to download ROM files independently and pay extra attention to only downloading from safe websites.
