PDF Protector is a tool designed by Imbue Software. It creates password to PDF files so as unauthorized persons cannot access them.

Key Features

Password-protection: PDF Protector offers the ability to protect PDF documents against unauthorized copying, editing or printing. To do this, it allows the user to add a custom password and by this way, ensures that nobody else can access the files.

Setting permissions: with PDF Protector, it is possible to set different levels of permissions. The administrator can authorize some users to view only the documents whereas others can be granted privilege to copy, print or edit contents.

Batch processing: among the advantages offered by this program is the fact that it can deal with multiple documents at a time. By this way, it allows real time saving as the user does not have to apply password to each file, one by one.

Encryption level: PDF Protector includes various encryption algorithms that the user can choose between, according to the strength of protection he requires. It may vary from 40 bits to 128 bits encryption level.


This program offers an option for merging multiple PDF files before applying protection.

Its running does not require Adobe Reader installed on the computer.
