Vista - Reset the DNS cache

To reset the DNS cache of Windows vista, follow this procedure:

Open a command prompt in Administrator mode>Start>Run>type "cmd" > press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER key.
  • Simply use this command and press Enter
    • ipconfig /flushdns
  • Once done you shall get the following message:

Windows IP Configuration. 

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.


Flushing your DNS cache may solve many of your internet connection issues.
