Firefox - Modify the size of the Offline cache



Firefox make use of a 500MB cache for your offline operations (loading a downloaded webpage....etc)

To increase the size of the offline cache, follow the below procedure:
  • Open Firefox.
  • In the address bar type the following command:
  • about:config
  • Click on the "I'll be careful, I promise..." button

In the Filter field type: browser.cache.offline.capacity

Double click on the entry
The default value is : 512000 (about 500 MB), modify it to your convenience:
  • Validate with the Ok button.
  • Close the about:config window.

Note that: To disable the Offline cache, simply look for the following entry:
browser.cache.offline.enabled 

Set its value to False.
