How to configure Hotmail under Outlook 2007


I cannot configure my Hotmail address for Outlook. If someone knows a tutorial or else I'm interested


After spending an afternoon to look into the matter I found the solution. FYI, I could receive my mail on Outlook 2007 but I could not send any ... Here is the steps to follow to correctly adjust their email account. PS: This is only valid for a Hotmail account.

In Outlook:

Tools => Options => Tab "Mail" => Email Accounts ... => New ...

Choose "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP
Enter your name (the one you want)
E-mail Address
Confirm password
Check "Manually configure server settings or additional server types"

Select "Internet Mail"
Normally at this stage, the window that opens to preserve memory in your username and email address.

Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com

Info for connection, retype your email address in "Username" and password associated in the "Password"
Check "Remember password"

Click "More Settings ..."
Tab "Outgoing Server" => check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication => Use same settings as my incoming mail server
Tab "Advanced" => Incoming server (POP3): 995
Check "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Outgoing server (SMTP): 25
Use the following type of encrypted connection: Automatic

Finish your creation through multi-clicks OK - Next - Finish, and voila.
